Hitting Home

Hey gang,

Have you all heard about the contents of Heath Ledger’s will? Officials are saying that he wrote the will out way before he met his girlfriend with whom he had a child with and neither one are included in any part of the will. This hit home with me today, being a single gal, I never really think about what would happen to my belongings, my condo and my pets if something were to happen to me. My Mom is so good about trying to talk to my sister and I about these types of things but, of course, we always tell her ‘oh Mom, let’s talk about this another time, it’s too depressing’ and she chuckles and always says ‘well, it’s going to happen sometime… ‘ This sad incident with Heath’s family just reminds me that we really never know when it’s our time and we should all be ready, spiritually and with all of our financial dealings in line. I have to agree with you on always being ready, but it also leads me to think about just what kind of legacy i want to leave my family and friends when i do go. What have contributed to there wellbeing and moral character that will lead them to be the best human being they know how to be. One that is loving and caring and patient, and giving. Thats what seems quite thought provoking to me. Living each day with a smile and knowing that god is in control and care of me personally. sounds somewhat hokey i bet, but its me, thats the way i roll.
