Well, it’s back to school today for the majority of our metroplex school districts. All morning long we focused in on the areas where cell phone usage is restricted during school zone times, in case you missed it, here is the list, pass it along, I don’t want any of you to be ticketed!  😉

DALLAS COUNTY: Dallas, Highland Park, University Park, Irving, Duncanville, Carrollton-Farmers Branch

TARRANT COUNTY: Benbrook, White Settlement

COLLIN COUNTY: Plano, Wylie

DENTON COUNTY: Flower Mound, Lake Dallas, Highland Village

ROCKWALL COUNTY: Rowlett

I understand the safety for our children completely and I am all for this law but since law enforcement is a play on words, why did they name cell phones and not wireless devices. Thus if a person was using an old two way radio would that be ok? Or what if they where using a PDA for Navigation, or Email? Again I know about the safety but again what if it was a wireless device and not just a cell phone. I do realize that a PDA does use cell towers for most communication but again it is a play on words and wondering why they wrote the law this way.
